Cannot synch outlook account worth gmail app

So, ein Jahr nachdem ich diesen Thread gestartet habe, und die Situation ist wie folgt:

bin von der naiven Vorstellung, MS würde etwas verbessern, abgekommen, und habe meine Kontaktdaten zwischen Gmail und outlook.com nicht mehr auf Synch, sondern sie von Gmail ex- und in Outlook importiert.

Da ich jetzt Win 8.1 habe, habe ich begonnen, in der Win-App Profilbilder händisch einzustellen.

ES WERDEN AUCH ZWISCHEN W8.1 und outlook.com KEINE PROFILBILDER GESYNCHT !!!!!

Mir fehlen die Worte.

Microsoft ist nicht in der Lage, ein Feature, welches seit Jahren auf anderen Plattformen Standard ist, bei sich zu implementieren. Selbst wenn ein Synch zwischen Gmail und outlook aus Konkurrenzgründen (oder weshalb auch immer) nicht implementiert wird,
aber bitte warum nicht zwischen W 8.1 und outlook.com !?!?!?

Wieso muss ein outlook.com-User ohne Profilbilder auskommen?

Nach einem Jahr nochmals meine Frage:
ist das euer Ernst, Microsoft ?

Correct, you cannot use the calendar in the Outlook mobile app if the account type doesn't support calendars. There is no local storage for a calendar in the Outlook app. Any events added to the phone need to be synced back to a supported server.

The only account types that supports a calendar is a Microsoft cloud account (gmail, iCloud, and yahoo/aol accounts currently are supported as cloud accounts), outlook.com or Office 365 Exchange account.

Auf dem Desktop bzw. auf dem MS Outlook habe ich KEINE outlook.com/gmail etc., sondern meine eigene Pop3 email-accounts eingerichtet. Wie funktioniert das nun, dass ich über die MS Outlook App diese email-Accounts lesen kann?

As far as the Outlook desktop program goes, you need to either purchase a version of Microsoft Office or obtain a stand-alone license for Outlook.

As an aside, in reviewing your email post regarding the issue you encountered with GMail and Thundeebird, while I am not a Thunderbird user, your problem may be solved by changing the password for the Gmail accounts. I don't know for sure if that is your issue but it is certainly worth trying

What you need to do is enable 2 factor authentications on your Gmail account and then generate an <App Password> to be used as the password for the email account. This is a Google change that took effect June 1, 2022

Geht mir genauso. Über die Gmail-App oder Drittanbieter-Apps auf dem Smartphone kein Zugriff mehr auf dem Eingangsserver. Der funktioniert nur über deb Browser oder die Outlook-App.
Gleiches Problem auf allen anderen Geräten (z. B. Tablet), aber auch beim Outlook-Account meiner Frau
