Get rid of old Windows installation

Hello,


I can't delete the folder "C:\Windows.old". I always got the message "directory is not empty". I'm wondering about this error, since the whole tree is supposed to be empty! Even with 3rd party tools like partedmagic and linux I can‘t delete this directory.



Here is what I got:

I don‘t see any files. I still can rename th directory, but I can‘t delete/move it.



How can I delete this anoying directory?
