How to convert mdb files to accdb files when I don't have access do older MS Access...

MS wird mir immer sympathischer.

Nun hätte ich mich doch noch entschlossen, auf eine neuere Version umzusteigen. Ich brauche aber meine Datenbank, also brauche ich einen Convert from .mdb to .accdb.

"Microsoft dropped support for .mdb format in Access 2013"

Nun muss ich also auch noch Access 2010 installieren. Geht aber nicht:

"Der Support für Office 2010 endete am 13. Oktober 2020, und es wird weder eine Verlängerung noch verlängerte Sicherheitsupdates geben."

Also müsste ich meine 10 000 Datenbanksätze per Hand neu eintippen ???

Weisst Du eine Lösung? Mir fällt nur noch eine ein: Auf Ubuntu umsteigen.

Thank you so much! It finally worked! The file wasn't there, so I reinstalled Word. I don't understand how that was different from the reinstallation I had done a couple of days ago, but good to have the link you shared to be able to update from there anytime.

I am , Independent Advisor, to work with you on this issue. You should create a new notebook in Onenote online and copy the sections there from these .one files (on a Windows computer). Then you can access these onenotes from your Mac also

How does ODBC with Excel work under Windows 7 without running Excel as Administrator?

Using Windows XP I didn't need to have admin rights to configure ODBC connections and as well none to use these ODBC connections e.g. in Excel 2010.

Now using Windows 7 I need admin rights to configure ODBC - that's okay. But I also need them to connect via ODBC to my database. When I don't run Excel as admin, the connection doesn't start (there is even no message why not) - I need to start Excel as admin
each time.

Is there no way to use ODBC without starting Excel as administrator? (I would be ok, when the admin password prompt appears when I try to connect to my ODBC data source... but this doesn't happen)...

The main problem why I can't default to run Excel as administrator: I cannot open any Excel-Document e.g. out of the Windows Explorer with Excel. I always have to start Excel first and then use the File-Open-Dialogue to access the Excel sheet.

Information:

I use an IBM ODBC driver for DB2 and Excel 2010, Windows 7 SP1

<br />I've tried everything you proposed but it all leads nowhere.
<br />The core of the problem is:
<br />Microsoft denies to recover ma account so I don't have access to it.
<br />And therefore I cannot quit the subscription.
<br />But what is worse:
<br />I cannot erase the credit card information from that "lost" account.
<br />So MS will keep on withdrawing money from my credit card for something I cannot use.
<br />And I can't do anything because I don't have access to that account.
<br />And there is no way to get someone from MS on the phone.
<br />It's a nightmare...
<br />I appreciate your help very much, but the standard procedures don't get me nowhere.
<br />I'm afraid that the only way to stop this is to suspend my credit card.
