When I enter a number into Excel, for example 123,4567 Excel automatically changes it to1234567. No matter how I change the format it won't accept 123,4567. The issue persists even when creating new files, so I sadly can't upload any files. Changing the format to Text helps but then I can't use the data for calculations. It is a fresh installment of Excel. There are no spaces or upside commas. When inputting 1234567 Excel accepts is and keepst it in format "Standard" when entering a comma it changes to format "Number"Friends of mine don't seem to have this issue and even after trying different

How does ODBC with Excel work under Windows 7 without running Excel as Administrator?

Using Windows XP I didn't need to have admin rights to configure ODBC connections and as well none to use these ODBC connections e.g. in Excel 2010.

Now using Windows 7 I need admin rights to configure ODBC - that's okay. But I also need them to connect via ODBC to my database. When I don't run Excel as admin, the connection doesn't start (there is even no message why not) - I need to start Excel as admin
each time.

Is there no way to use ODBC without starting Excel as administrator? (I would be ok, when the admin password prompt appears when I try to connect to my ODBC data source... but this doesn't happen)...

The main problem why I can't default to run Excel as administrator: I cannot open any Excel-Document e.g. out of the Windows Explorer with Excel. I always have to start Excel first and then use the File-Open-Dialogue to access the Excel sheet.

Information:

I use an IBM ODBC driver for DB2 and Excel 2010, Windows 7 SP1

1. Fußnoten werden nach ihrem Auftreten im Text sortiert, ohne Ausnahme. Mir ist auch schleierhaft, wie ich als Leser eine Fußnote ohne Referenz auf das Fußnotenzeichen im Text zuordnen sollte.

2. Für Referenzen gibt es den Querverweis, dort kannst Du auf eine bestehende Fußnote verweisen.

1. Footnotes are sorted by their position in text, without any exception. I can't imagine how to find a footnote without the reference number of the footnote tag in the text.

2. References to footnotes can be inserted using the reference dialog. (Don't know what's the name of the function in the english version.

mal schauen, wie ich dir helfen kann.

Musst du unbedingt mit Excel ansprechen, kannst du nicht einfach die Daten in einer CSV-Datei exportieren und damit arbeiten? Es ist viel einfacher und du brauchst dafür keine Bibliotheken oder irgendwelche zusätzliche Komponenten. Wenn Excel sein muss,
schau die folgenden englischen Seite an, dort findest du eine mögliche Lösung:

Bei solche Probleme bist du bei TechNet oder MSDN besser aufgehoben, den meine Kollegen dort haben mehr Praxiserfahrung.

Via WSUS or manual install, same error message.
Various updates.
