I cannot send emails, neither from outlook nor from outlook.com.

Incoming emails are received. No error message is displayed. The emails are just not sent. However I got today a message saying "We noticed some unusual activity in your Outlook.com account. To help protect you, we've temporarily blocked your account." Even after verifying the account and changing the password emails are still not sent.

This phone number is not reachable from abroad, neither on mobile nor on landline.

The links you posted for somebody with a similar problem in Australia do not help either.

Microsoft is not able to help via phone nor email and its perhaps only a minor change in the regional settings that has to be performed even via a step by step menu that somebody could post here...

Schauen Sie nach ob Sie die Einstellungen richtig eingegeben haben.

<br />Thank you so much! I thought all my data was stored locally in my .pst file, but apparently Outlook did use a Microsoft Exchange Server. I logged on to Outlook Live through my regular Microsoft account, using an email address that is neither a Hotmail nor an Outlook.com address. But when I am logged on to Outlook Live, it does show an outlook.com address, which I don't remember ever creating and which consists of seemingly random letters and numbers. Now I don't know how to add this account to my local Outlook...

Wie versuchst Du, die E-Mail mit einem Alias zu senden - mithilfe von Outlook Desktop App oder Outlook.com?
