I deleted 5 GB of Data in Onedrive, but Outlook does not realize it

Hi,

I solved the problem: I asked my IT DEP to renew my online account. Seems Outlook 2016 is much more sensible with inconsistent or damaged data which is saved on Exchange. I do not know, what was damaged. But I created a local copy of my OST in a PST and
IT deleted anything. Now it works.

BTW: I am waiting for my Surface Pro 4. I am not happy with working an MAC with outlook.

ok. i think i got it correct in the first post. but thanks for the repost

what i found out now, it's not gSyncit or at least not gSyncit alone.

gSyncit was inactive the whole time now and the files got recreated today when i started outlook. i forgot to check the folder before starting outlook, but i bet it was empty again. creation date of the .ost files is 14.01.2021 11:16. (at the moment it's
11:25)

so as you said it could be a backup like the synology or the file history from windows. very strange. i think i'll set the file history back to defaults and set synology back so it does not save .pst files. - then i don't know which of them both makes the
issue. but i really hope it is solved afterwards.

Sorry but it would be really helpful if the description of the problem were read properly. It is precisely because it is not possible to do this that I posted here in the first place. When I try to do anything with that account it refuses to let me in and gives the error message that the account name does not exist. It does. Microsoft created it. I have no access to it, that is the problem.

What are the names of the "Sent Messages" and "Deleted Messages" folders in German iCloud?

Also Drafts and Junk Email?

Or are you using English iCloud with German Outlook?

Iam using german iCloud with german Outlook 2016.

The names of the folders are:

Outlook (Folder) - iCloud Mail (IMAP Folder)

- Posteingang - Eingang (all ok)

- Gesendet - Sent Messages (false in Outlook, must be "Sent Messages" not "Gesendet")

- Drafts - Entwürfe (all ok), but in Outlook it is a folder "Entwürfe" too, but it will be not used and I can't delete it in Outlook, if I delete it, 3 seconds later it is back.

- Papierkorb - Deleted Messages (named in iCloud "Papierkorb" - false in Outlook, must be "Deleted Messages". It is a folder "Gelöschte Elemente" in Outlook too an its not used, if I delete it, 3 seconds later it is back.

- Junk - Werbung (all ok)

- Archive - Archiv (all ok)
