To recover your password, there are three steps you can try. You may have already tried some of these methods, but here they are just in case:

Reset your password with the built-in wizard during login:

Finally, the Microsoft account recovery form:

When using the form, if you cannot provide sufficient proof of account ownership, such as emailing someone from the account or providing other identifying information, it is likely that you will not be able to regain access to the account.

For security reasons, Microsoft support does not provide assistance with password issues over the phone or chat. They will not reset passwords or change customer security information unless they use the form or remember the password.

i can speak english too. i dont know why tho. it was all in german on the site i posted it.
<br />the problem is i have my email adress and my password. i just dont get the verfication code to change my password. it never arrives.
<br />the problem was on my series x my friendslist went from 11 around to over 30 over night and i dont know how. i never accepted these "friends" yet they all were in my list suddenly so i asked on reddit and people a-said i should change my password as someone got in and accepted the friends . it makes no sense to me but its the only plausible option i can think off. all i know is i also downloaded the xbox app on my iphone yesterday to chat with someone. but idk how that would lead to such a mess. i dont want friends i never ever heard of in my list or played or anything.

Hi Nelson, I have tried this from browser "EDGE" and "Firefox", and I have tried this with the e-mail-adress from my wife.
The result is negativ.
