MS Authenticator - not able to deactivate Passwordless account

So I use the MS Authenticator for various accounts and am backing it up to one of my ms accounts. Yesterday I reset my phone and also changed the password for the ms account. At first everything was working perfectly well but after a few hours the 2FA-Codes six digits for the account were replaced by an eight digit code for passwordless login. I never activated that function and there is no button, as some people in some forums indicated, to remove this option from the app. When I logged in through my browser it also said that function is disabled.I tried to remove the option by turning it o

Hi Ron, you need to deactivate your previous Installation and then re-install Office 2016

Go to https://office.com/myaccount and sign in using your Microsoft account, if prompted

Select Install

Under Install information, locate the Mac which Office was installed on

Select Deactivate Install to deactivate the Office installation

Then, click Install to install Office

Just noticed that OneDrive has been silently updated today, version is 19.192.0926.0012

Currently I'm not even able to log in to my OneDrive account, after entering my email address the logon window appears again and again.
