My language settings are in German. How do I switch to English?

this is the German Microsoft Community. Either ask in German here or use the English version, if you don't speak German (you can switch languages at the bottom right of this Website).



But as this is an easy question: No, objects are only clickable in presentation mode. If you want to start a macro in Edit mode, use the Macro command on the Developer Tools tab.

I'm used in English.

Most German speaking MS users are quite familiar with English and therefore I leave it in this thread.

Once I got an anser which solves the problem, I'm willing to put a most in the german speaking part.

I think the English speaking community is much bigger and therefore my hope is to get faster an answer!

Any comments?

Who can actually help me with my real problem?

Thanks. I´m an American living now in Germany and having problems with my German MS version. What is then for MS and any forum to help me, my "native language"? The German MS site, seems to provide helpful answers in German.

thanks for your fast reply! Your answer says that it was translated automatically, so I hope English is your language. The language settings in the options of my Word still say "German" everywhere, just a few words (like stated in my first post) in the Editor are in English despite of that. This happened after the last update, so I thought Word got messed up a bit by it because it's just weird that only part of the Editor is in English now, everything else is still in German. Not sure if the screenshot got attached to my first post correctly to illustrate what I mean, guess not, so I'll try again now (ah, looks better!). Anyway, if there is no way to change it back, it's no big deal, I understand "spelling" and "grammar" and the rest ;-)

maybe it helps, if I switch to English.

I tried your suggestion with the profile, unfortunitly this did not solve the issue at least not in a first step....

Some additional remarks, what I tried (after your suggestion; my outlook is german installation, so I hope the English terms used here do match to the english version of outlook)

Starting situation: Outlook is installed, first profile (email account configured; my @outlook.com account

Now I want to create a second account:

Step1: Open Outlook, File --> Add Account --> pop up appears --> enter email address (*** Die E-Mail-Adresse wurde aus Datenschutzgründen entfernt. ***); flag for advanced configuration / addional settings flagged --> click connect

step2: Dialog extended setup: I chose IMAP

step3: enter password (checked it 100 times ;-) --> connect / next

interims result: Outlook starts to setup the account (I can see it already appearing in the backround of the dialog, but after the procedure no folders are below...; a test message got sent to my gmx account

BUT Pop-up appears after a while stating that something went wrong and offers 3 Options:

- Not *** Die E-Mail-Adresse wurde aus Datenschutzgründen entfernt. ***?

- Change account settings?

- contact Support

I chose no 2 to check the server data that Outlook used.

step 4: According to my mail provider (GMX) these are the correct server data:

IMAP: imap.gmx.net, Port 993; Encryption: SSL

SMTP: mail.gmx.net, Port 587 Encryption STARTTLS,
TLS

All this did not help.

Solution:

I had to remove all mail profiles and start from scratch. After each mail account I added to Outlook I had to restart Outlook to add
the second and at the end my 3rd account.

But now everything is fine.
