My Onenote went from back to old build.

My Onenote went from Build 2309 back to 2302 and I dont know how to fix it. All I did, was to uninstal McAfee and restart my PC with Onenote still running. After it restartet, there was the older Build. The problem is, that I tried to upgrade to the newer one and even reinstalled Office 365, with no succes. Please Help.

Hello

I am , Independent Advisor, to work with you on this issue. You should create a new notebook in Onenote online and copy the sections there from these .one files (on a Windows computer). Then you can access these onenotes from your Mac also

if I could - instead of installing Win 10 and OneNote 2016 - just subscribe to Microsoft 365 to get access to my old OneNote files on my MAC? - This won't work.

Sadly, i dont know if it helps:
1) synchronization was turned on (and yes, i could get my deleted notes back from the version history tab. but this offers no explanation why OneNote chose to overwrite the *new* with the *old* version).
2) connectivity seems stable
3) I will check if there are any antivirus etc. conflicts!

For the mac, the only OneNote version is through the store - it's not in the office installs currently.

You will be able to use OneNote.com - but I'm not aware of a way to download an older version of the software from the store if you didn't previously install it.

This trick often works for iOS, not sure if it works for mac, or if the older build of OneNote is still in the mac store, but it would require you to have another mac you can connect to your account: Install OneNote on a newer version then you might be able to install an older version on this computer.
