Open .one file in OneNote with Microsoft 365 subscription?

I have a couple of .one files that were created in OneNote 2016. I am now working on a MAC only and realized that those files cannot just be opened in OneNote for MAC. However, I understand from thisforum post that if I install Win 10 on my MAC, I could open the .one files in OneNote and THEN migrate to OneNote for MAC. Piece of cake..

Now, I was wondering if I could - instead of installing Win 10 and OneNote 2016 - just subscribe to Microsoft 365 to get access to my old OneNote files on my MAC?

Follow this to copy sections between workbooks.

You should create a new notebook on your Windows computer and open this .one file also and then copy.

Let your new notebooks sync to Onedrive. Then you can access these new notebooks from Mac.

I am , Independent Advisor, to work with you on this issue. You should create a new notebook in Onenote online and copy the sections there from these .one files (on a Windows computer). Then you can access these onenotes from your Mac also

Thanks for the quick answer! I'm not sure what is meant by "copy sections from .one files"? How can I copy only one section from a .one file?
