outlook.com account folders remains empty in Outlook (MS Office Standard 2016)

Ich will nicht das passwort meines MS-Accounts zurücksetzen, sondern nur das passwort, das ich bei outlook.com benutze. Nach meinem Verständnis sind die unterschiedlich.

Ich will auf einem Surface Go in Outlook (Office 2016) ein weiteres Konto einrichten und zwar mein exchange-Konto, das auf meinen anderen Rechnern schon eingerichtet ist.

Aber zur Einrichtung unter Outlook (Office 2016) brauche ich das passwort, das ich bei outlook.com benutze.

Einrichtung mit meinem MS-Account-passwort funktioniert nicht.

Habe noch etwas Rumgesucht und folgende Lösung gefunden:

In Outlook 2016 follow these steps:

1. Click on the File tab (which is the first tab in Outlook appearing in the top left-hand corner of Outlook 2016) >
   Account Settings > Account Settings drop-down button > Double-click on the concerned IMAP email account > Click on the
   More Settings button > Click on the Advanced tab.
2. Check under Folders, if the Root folder path box is empty or filled-in.
   
3. If the box is empty please type the word Inbox (für Deutsche Systeme "Posteingang") and then click on
   Apply and/or OK at the bottom of the box to save the settings.

Thanks, well, that's a very unfortunate step backwards in user-friendlyness. Now I have to manually empty four trash and four spam folders.

From what I gather, some feature is no longer available for the newer version of Outlook.

"Notes:

Some kinds of e-mail accounts, such as Windows Live Hotmail accounts, automatically empty the Trash folder at predefined times.

With some email accounts you can set up a schedule in Outlook to empty your Trash folder regularly.

IMAP accounts offer multiple options for how deleted items are stored and displayed. To set your preferences, on the Tools menu, click Accounts, and then select the IMAP account in the account list. Click Advanced, click the Folders tab, and then next to Trash,
select the options that you want."

Outlook-Kalender: ist es der Kalender im Programm MS Outlook oder auf dem Outlook.com-Account?

MS Outlook-Kalender ist und kann nicht mit der App Kalender gekoppelt sein.

Outlook.com-Kalender kann man am besten über Web-Login im Outlook.com-Account bearbeitet.
