Outlook mac TASK / Meeting greyed out - version 16

hi, i need assistance with the Outlook Mac version 16. as I am encountering difficulty adding tasks to my calendar. The option to add new tasks is currently inaccessible as it appears greyed out. as mentioned before im using an external (non outlook) mail. im also using outlook Mac App in the free version. im not a microsoft 365 client.

im using the newest version i updated 6 days ago: Version 16.72.3

Run Outlook in Safe Mode to see whether any unreliable or incompatible add-in is to blame for the Work Offline feature being grayed out. Perform the following actions:

Outlook should be closed before pressing Command Key + R, Outlook.exe /safe, and Enter. Outlook launches in a secure mode.

Navigate to File > Options > Add-Ins.

In the section labeled Manage COM Add-Ins, click Go.

Click OK after unchecking every add-in.

Relaunch Outlook as usual.

If the problem is fixed, one or more add-ins cause it. Follow these steps to determine which add-in caused the problem:

Open a single add-in, then open Outlook.

If the Work Offline switch is operational, activate a different one and reevaluate.

This will aid in identifying the problematic add-in and report about the same.

thanks for quick help i did everything. stilll not able to add tast because "add tast" is greyed out. please reffere to this screenpic: https://postimg.cc/N946nmF4

I followed the steps you suggested but unfortunately, they didn't work. As you can see from this picture: , all the add-ins are deactivated, indicating that I don't have any add-ins installed or running. I also restarted the application and reinstalled it from the Mac Apple Store. It's worth noting that I'm not using Outlook mail, but an external mail service with IMAP.
