Outlook Office365 - Change Folder Panel back to previous design

Dear all

One of our customers received the new Outlook design icons last week. Now he would like to have the old icons back. Is there any way to revert these changes in a sustainable way?

Ich hab die folgende Anleitung für einen Crash gefunden bei dem outlmime.dll das fehlerhafte Modul ist:

Go to Control Panel > Mail > E-Mail Account.

In the popup window that will appear, take note of all the IMAP accounts (E-Mail panel) and the .ost file paths (Data Files panel).

Navigate through the folder containing the .ost files (you can easily do that from the Data Files panel using the Open file location button).

Create a new BACKUP_yyyyMMdd folder within the folder containing the .ost files.

Move all the .ost files related to the IMAP accounts that you identified earlier.

Launch MS Outlook again.

Hallo Gijs,

vielen Dank für den Hinweis. Jetzt habe ich das Problem gelöst.

Folgende Schritte werden vorgeschlagen:

Make sure that all Microsoft Office for Mac programs are closed.
On the Go menu, open the root/hidden Library folder. (~/Library/Group Containers)

Note The Library folder is hidden in any Mac OSX by default. To display this folder, hold down the OPTION key while you click the Go menu.
Open the Group Containers folder.
Look for a folder whose name ends ".Office," and open it.
In this folder, look for the Com.microsoft.officeprefs.plist file.
Delete this file by dragging it to the trash. This will delete the Office preferences that you set during the initial start of the application.
Restart the application, and check whether the issue is resolved. If the issue is not resolved, delete the whole folder that you found in step D. This will delete all previous settings and preferences that were set across all applications.

Note This will reset Office back to the first-run phase of initial set up. It will also re-create a folder in the ~/Library/Group Containers location.

Wichtig war, den gesamten Ordner der auf ".Office" (in Schritt 4) in den Papierkorb zu befördern. Allerdings Vorsicht, damit gehen auch wichtige Vorlagen und Designs in den Papierkorb. D.h. wenn man dann Word oder Excel neu startet, wird der Ordner neu angelegt.

Dann sollte man sich aus dem Vorlagen Ordner die Vorlagen und Designs, die man nutzt, in den neuen Präferenzenordner kopieren, bevor man den ".Office"-Ordner endgültig löscht.

Zwar auf Englisch, hat aber bei mir funktioniert.

To resolve Activation Error (0x80041015) go to folder C:\Windows\System32\spp\store\2.0 and rename file tokens.dat or its extension to something else. Then in Control Panel -> Programs and Features select Office
2016, click on 'Change' and perform an Online Repair of the application. Once installation is finished, the 25-digit key got accepted without problems and the activation was successful. Hope this helps

Martin I have made some changes to German Outlook 2016 to try and help your situation. I will let you know when those changes will be available to you and I will then ask you to try it out for me.

I have already given the Outlook team feedback to say the IMAP special folder picker dialogs should be brought back. They are aware of the feedback.
