PowerPoint crashes everytime when I try to open "options" or try to customize the ribbon bar

Title basically says it. The only exception is when I open the options menu while no presentation is open. However it happens regardless of which presentation I open. This issue started to occur when I imported a custom ribbon i created on another computer. I tried clearing it all out, used both repairs quick and online and reinstalled the programm with no success. I removed the additional ribbon tabs from the imported file aswell. Since I couldnt find anything online I am now asking for help as I dont know what else to do, my best guess is that the file got corrupted and is still somewher

Thank you for coming to the forum. Let us try one more thing and redo the office repair and give me feedback.

Run a Windows update and get the PC updated to the latest, then run an Office Online repair and see.

Lastly, please in your reply can you include the office version this is?

Greetings for the day!

If the Office application is crashing, please follow these steps to resolve the issue.

1. Clear the temporary and cache files. Go to temp location and clear all the files. To clear temporary files, Press Windows key + R to open the Run command. Then type “temp” in the search field and press OK.
2. Do a safe reboot. You can start Safe Mode using the F8 key during start up.
3. Start Office for Windows applications in Office Safe Mode

This method works for most Office versions on a Windows PC:
• Find the shortcut icon for your Office application.
• Press and hold the CTRL key and double-click the application shortcut.
• Click Yes when a window appears asking if you want to start the application in Safe Mode.

1. Close all Office applications.
2. Sign-out of your Office account.

4. Download the offline installer from your account portal

How and when are they failing? Do they fail when you try to upload them or when you try to play them? If it's on upload, a common reason for that to fail is network connection speed - to check you can try a smaller video and see if it succeeds?

Opening and customizing the ribbon works perfectly and I am able to open the different tabs with the different commands. The only problem is that the lasso tool is now missing, despite being there once. I already searched through the customize tab for
the ribbon to find the lasso command, but it is not listet or at least I don't find it. Even if i did something wrong with editing several tabs in word, the lasso tool should still be listed in the customize window within all commands, but it is not there.
Under what specific command name is the lasso tool normally listed?
