Problems with Excel (Office 365)

I am working for a long time with Excel in the context of my scientific work and have a lot of experience with diagrams. Since some time I am also succesfully working with Office 365.

Some days ago I wanted to make a new diagram from data in a table. I did it the usual way, marked the data and then went clicked on xy-diagram: nothing happened.

As next step I loaded an older file containing some diagrams. A message window appeared saying: "Excel cannot represent the full information. If you want the available information and trust the source of information just click "Yes". I did, the tables appeared but there was no diagram!

As next step I consulted my PC adviser. He told me to just install the office 365 package over the existing one. I did so, but there were still no diagrams, the system stubbornly refused to represent them.

As next step I approached a PC consultant of my old university. He asked me to send him a copy of the file which did not work. I did so and he could immediately see the diagrams. He asked me to look at the file on my Android tablet where I also have the office package. I loaded it from OneDrive and immediately I could see the diagram.

This rather looks as if there is some problem with Excel on my computer. But it is very strange that the problem could not be mended by the new installation of Office! The university specialist today made a remote session where he could take over my computer. He tried all kind of things but had to give up after an hour. He told me to approach the Microsoft community which I am doing now.

I hope you can give me a solution to my problem as I need that Excel for my work!

With some Office 365 subscriptions the default Date format Is set to American Date which Is not always convenient.

Because Excel Online Is Actually a SharePoint online site we need to make the change Office 365 OneDrive site settings.

Solltest du Probleme wegen der Sprache oder der Umsetzung haben, frag gerne nach.

Der Grund für die Probleme war Malwarebytes, das die Word-/Excel-/PowerPoint- und Publisher-Seiten (nicht Access) blockiert. Den Hinweis fand ich nach Stunden unter:

Und dafür Stunden des Suchens, sogar Microsoft Support (sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit) kontaktieren müssen.

Hoffentlich ist es bei dir derselbe Grund...

Hallo jh_86,

Was der Grund ist, dass dieses Feature in der Excel Desktopanwendung nicht verfügbar ist, weiß ich nicht.

Es ist geplant die Funktion umzusetzen, wann das aber realisiert wird kann ich dir auch nicht sagen.

Hier ist der Link zu "Enable collaboration with others
editting in Excel desktop" auf Uservoice als Referenz. Da kannst du auch für die Funktion abstimmen.
