Project not opening after opening and closing 5 times

Hi guys,in our company we are using Citrix Virtual Apps and Virtual Desktop. We have discovered a "bug" in the program MSProject inside Citrix Virtual Desktop 7 and in the other OSs/PCs like Windows Server XenApp, Workstations or Laptops it is not possible to recreate the "bug". When opening and closing Microsoft Project 5 times, it does not open anymore, but there appear many background tasks. And when keeping trying to open Project after that, there appear as many background tasks in the task manager. These tasks I am not able to close or kill through the task manager. The only "solution"

Thanks for your reply. After opening the "Finder" and opening "Home" from the "Go" menu, there is no "Library". Am I searching in the wrong place? I also tried searching for the file "com.microsoft.Word.plist" via "Go to Folder", but it could not be found.

Der mit dem Bild ohne jede Versions/Build-Nr war gut. ;-)

Es gibt derzeit ein paar ähnlich mysteriöse Crash-Meldungen
wie z.B. diese hier. Falls du die Möglichkeit hast, dann gehe eine Update-Version zurück (s. den Link von Dennis Wi in der o.a. Diskussion) und teste, ob alles stabil ist. Wenn nicht, dann noch eine usw.

Wäre gut, wenn du das Ergebnis hier posten könntest, damit man das an MS weitermelden kann.

To assist you further, perform a system repair or try opening excel in safe mode. This could be add-ins problem as well.

Many thanks for the suggestions. They did not help, though. I deleted the template Book.xltx in the start-up folder and made sure there is none anywhere on the C drive. After the close / open /close / open procedure I am back to A1 style.

There is no PERSONAL.XLSB on my C drive. I checked also the spelling in lower case. But when I open an existing workbook directly in the file explorer, the I do get actually two books: the one I wanted and an empty Book1.xlsx. Is this the other workbook
your mention? Is it associated with the root cause? I would be grateful for a sound solution.

For the time being I implemented a Aut o_O

pen VBA procedure, which is setting the R1C1 style at opening of the workbook. But that is a bit clumsy and I would appreciate a more professional solution.
