Restore One Drive folder after deleting it from the recycle bin

That confirms my suspicions. Something is deleting the ost files. Now to figure out what - its not outlook. Outlook would only delete them if you deleted the account from the profile.

Are you using any hard drive cleanup or optimization program?

If you either disable the backup or remove app data folders from it, are the ost files left alone?

If the ost is being deleted when gsyncit is enabled, the something is goofy with gsyncit.

Thanks for your reply. After opening the "Finder" and opening "Home" from the "Go" menu, there is no "Library". Am I searching in the wrong place? I also tried searching for the file "com.microsoft.Word.plist" via "Go to Folder", but it could not be found.

<br />sorry this was super stupid.. I did not knew that Groove was the previous version of One Drive for Business - so I excluded it from the install, while creating the Config using the OCT.
<br />I removed it from excluded Apps and now it is installed.

Thank you for coming to the forum. I am a Microsoft user like you and so is almost everyone in this forum.

I am sorry to tell you but you cannot make One Drive sync anything not in its folder directly. Symlinks will not work.

Other than the Desktop, Documents, and Picture folder of your user, anything else has to be in the One Drive folder to work.

Habe die Datei kopiert und den Computer neu gestartet.

Die Kopie ist 97'864 KB gross und das Original 81'576KB.

Habe gerade im Dateiversionsverlauf geschaut. Der Ordner AppData müsste eigentlich gesichert werden. Wenn ich versuche ihn wiederherzustellen, ist der Inhalt aber leider leer. Somit kein Backup vorhanden.

Nein, keine solchen Programme.

Antivirus benutze ich nur Windows Defender.

yeah thats the creation date/time which has changed after the reboot.

copied the file and made a reboot. copy file is 97'864 KB and the original one is 81'576 KB.

i checked my windows file history backup. in the settings it says that the folder "AppData" should be saved. but when i try to restore files, theres nothing to restore inside. so no backup

no; nothing like that.

antivirus is windows defender.

did the copy/reboot again; just to be sure i did nothing wrong.

so copy/paste in place and reboot.

both files are the same size after the start of outlook
