I tried to send a mail with Outlook.live.com to a distribution list i communicated with the same people in the last several times already. I use the account since 1998 hotmail back in the days. Now I get a message: account locked due to policy violations. MS wants me to provide a phone number to unlock which I will ofc NOT do. This is absoloutly redicoulous and random. I guess some Chat GPT crap is involved here. So: what can I do? I need the account, its pretty much tight to everything else. And: NO, providing my phone number is not an option. But wouldn't the mail then have said: someone tried to log in to your account?

It is a personal one, working when I sign in using the desktop or web browser.
<br />But as I tried to set up a new phone .. my account and also a other 3rd account did not work, and the above "error message" appeared.

Mx problem is that i open mz Hotmail account normallx, but when i click on heading to read the mail, it disappears. More to tha i am unable to send emails. This mail is sent from a borrowed computer. please help.

Thanks, Berns! I tried that before but the problem is that the file in question is saved on a server. Is it possible to move such a file to a HTTP or HTTPS location and apply the procedure from there?
