Windows 8 is unrivalled in speed and fluidity

I have a 4gb ram Laptop with a HDD on the side.

I uninstalled crawling windows 10 , was never fast not even out of the box , as in unusable.

Then came all the linux distros that i threw at it. Wasn't bad but it wasn't good enough until finally , linux mint. I tried all the other "Lightweight" distros , but it seems that everyone out there expects even the worst of computers to at least have an SSD .

And then i remembered how insanely fast windows 8 used to be on our old household DDR3 HDD pc. Even the boot times at 12 seconds ... on a HDD!

And very unsurprisingly , en rockets on this weak laptop . And everything is so elegant. Using the start screen as it is is SUPER fluid along with the rest of the os animations . Definitely better than any Windows after. I get that start has some flaws. I just cant help that feel that windows 8 was the last windows where devs took risks and everything was purpose developed. After the hate it feels like they just went the safe un-innovative

So i leave you with this . Force yourself to properly try BinBows 8 if you have some free time or would like to experience it .
