Counting persons in one cell

Good Evening,

I would like to know how to count persons in excels. The persons are written in one cell and seperated by ";" I need urgent help!

Here is the formula that would count the number of ; + 1 in a cell, which if all the persons were separated by a ; would work

(Pleas Note, you will need to replace A1 with the appropriate cell reference)

=LEN(A1)-LEN(SUBSTITUTE(A1,";","")) + 1

However from your screenshot, sometimes a ; is used and other times a , is used to separate the persons names, and in that case, this is the formula you need

=LEN(A1)-LEN(SUBSTITUTE(A1,";","")) + LEN(A1)-LEN(SUBSTITUTE(A1,",","")) + 1

bzw.:

=LEN(A1)-LEN(SUBSTITUTE(A1,";",))+1

I am not sure how this would help in this scenario. I am not trying to look up values, I am counting records. I suppose you mixed up DCount() and DLookup?

ich nutze 2010. Ob das auch andere Personen nutzen die am Ende mit dem File arbeiten werden, muss ich mal schauen.

hab es jetzt erst einmal nur mit

rngC = WorksheetFunction.WeekNum(.Cells(rngC.Row, 4), 2)

gemacht und klappt wunderbar.

Was ich mich jedoch frage ist was die 2 nach .cells(rngC.Row,4) zu bedeuten hat?

es wird nur das outlook für die zweite mail adresse benötigt. ....... alle anderen programme benötige nur ich. also kein one drive etc............. es wird nur outlook für die zweite person verwendet. geht das oder nicht? lg
