How to add external IMAP account in Outlook.com

Thanks, I could add one IMAP e-mail account via the way you described.. Now it seems to be complete again.
<br />But using your way of adding an account how can I enter the profiel whre to add the account?

<br />I have added my main mail account (IMAP) to the web app, and I can see those emails.
<br />I have added an outlook.com account to Outlook desktop, and moved calendar and contacts to that account.
<br />This works as well. Appointments and contacts are visible in the web app, and Android sync still seems to work.
<br />I might try to add outlook.com to Outlook on Android as well to see how that goes.
<br />Anyway, there are still a couple of questions left:
<br />

• I had problems adding an outlook.com account, using the cryptic one that is displayed in the web app.
  I then created a new one under my name, used that along with my Microsoft login password, and surprisingly this worked.
  <br />The cryptic one is still displayed in the web app - *** Die E-Mail-Adresse wurde aus Datenschutzgründen entfernt. ***, can I change this?
  
  <br />
• Now, when I start Outlook Desktop, it always goes to the Inbox of the outlook.com account.
  How can I change this so it's the inbox of the IMAP mail account? (as I'm used to)

• I assume the mails in the outlook.com account are just a copy of the associated mail account.
  I.e. I cannot do all mail work from @outlook.com but still need to visit my IMAP account to delete mails. Correct?
  
  <br />
• For Outlook desktop, is Microsoft's recommendation to just use the outlook.com account, or to also have the associated accounts included?

Wenn es um SharePoint geht, bin ich überfragt. Mir fallen da nur Stichworte wie Gast-User und Microsoft Account ein. Vielleicht hilft dieser Artikel.

Of course,

Since I have a separate domain with e-mail, the Outlook.com account is not my main and not my only account.
So I had to perform step 2 in the tutorial.

I have the IMAP mail accounts re-set up.

So now I am back on the green field and can try to set up the Outlook.com account.

How do I add the account via "e-mail account" or via "manual configuration or additional service types"?

I have log myself correctly.

The direct way "e-mail account" does not go my e-mail address is ***** is and no @ Outlook.com address.
My account with Microsoft is my e-mail address *****

Therefore, somehow simply can not work.

Frustration....

leider weiß ich nicht, welches Add-In du meinst, ein MS Query Add-In kenne ich nicht.

Falls du das hier meinst, das gibt es in Excel 2013 auch noch und dafür ist kein Zusatz-Add-In erforderlich:

Microsoft Power Query und PoverPivot sind nur für die von mir in meiner ersten Antwort genannten Versionen verfügbar. Mit deinem Office 2013 Professional kannst du die Add-Ins nicht nutzen. Wenn du die Add-Ins benötigst, musst du dir eine Office Version
kaufen, die diese Add-Ins unterstützt.
