Microsoft 365 Business Essetials enabled 2 Factor now Outlook calender is not working.

Hello,

Since i enabled 2 Factor Auth via Phone Call for one User via Azure he gets a phone call when login in to MS365 Business. Thats working without Problems.

But when he wants to show the calender in the Outlook 2019 App Version 2102 Build 13801.20266 Just updated today, Outlook is crashing .

I can then start in outlook /safe mode and after that the normal without /safe outlook ist working but wants the password for the exchange-calender-sync. We can type in that Password, but nothing happens. No messages that its wrong or the normal 2 Factor Phone Call message.

We can then see the calender but no changes are synced and outlook says Password in the button screen.

Obiously a Bug with 2 Factor and Outlook Exchange Calender with Business Essentials.

updatating mac version right now

This is a very annoying bug, no change with the problem.

Hi,

I solved the problem: I asked my IT DEP to renew my online account. Seems Outlook 2016 is much more sensible with inconsistent or damaged data which is saved on Exchange. I do not know, what was damaged. But I created a local copy of my OST in a PST and
IT deleted anything. Now it works.

BTW: I am waiting for my Surface Pro 4. I am not happy with working an MAC with outlook.

Unfortunately there is no option to filter who can try to log into the account. That option simply does not exist.

You may want to consider enabling 2 factor authentication if it is not already.
