new created alias in Outlook.com is not showing up as selection in 'send from' in Outlook 2016

My new created alias in Outlook.com is not showing up as selection in 'send from' in Outlook 2016. Previous aliases showing up fine and working. It seems that the sync is not working properly. Do I have to re-link the whole account or do I miss something?

ich gehe mal davon aus, dass du Deutsch sprichst da du in einem deutschsprachigen Forum geschrieben hast.

Bitte überprüfe zunächst, wie sich das ganze auf outlook.com im Web-Portal verhält. Wird das Alias dort wie gewohnt angezeigt?

Falls nicht, so wäre es interessant zu wissen, wann genau du das Alias erstellt hast. Es kann einige Zeit dauern, bis dieses tatsächlich irgendwo angezeigt wird.

Ich freue mich auf deine Rückmeldung.

Hi Aileen,

danke fuer Deine Antwort. Online verhaelt sich der Alias wie die "alten" (vorher angelegten). Ich hatte diesen direkt "automatisch" zur Auswahl im "From".

Nur im Outlook 2016 (Desktop) wurde der neue Alias nicht "automatisch" in die Auswahl im "From" hinzugefuegt. Mir ist klar, dass man dort manuell eine Email-Adresse eintragen kann. Dies habe ich auch ausprobiert und es funktioniert. Dann wird hinter der Alias-Adresse ein
"X" dargestellt als Option zum Entfernen. Dies gibt es bei den "alten" nicht.

However - Ich habe zwischenzeitlich mit dem MS Support gechattet (bevor ich Deinen Beitrag gesehen habe). Mir wurde erklaert, dass dies die richtige Vorgehensweise waere und der Unterschied halt nun mal so ist.

Ich werde das nun erstmal so hinnehmen, koennte mir aber vorstellen, dass sich das noch aendert bzw. anders aussehen wuerde, wenn ich den Account noch einmal neu im Outlook 2016 einhaengen wuerde.

Dazu habe ich aber momentan nicht die Muse. Beim letzten Mal hat der anschliessende Sync mir diverse Termine und Kontakte durcheinandergebracht.

P.S. Bezueglich der Sprache des Forums habe ich wohl nicht aufgepasst. Ich schreibe sonst immer in das englischsprachige Forum - da erreicht man mehr Personen

ich habe noch etwas gegoogled. Und es gibt für Outlook.com auch ein Exchange Service. Habe das ganze probiert. So werden auch Kalender und Kontakte gesynct. Genau was ich gebraucht hatte.

Outlook 2013/2016 EAS

EAS is currently supported with the new Outlook.com servers, however, it will eventually be discontinued and all users will need to use Exchange services. Exchange gives a much better experience (multiple contact folders and contact groups) and is highly
recommended.

If you use Outlook 2013/2016, you can configure an EAS account. You'll need to use m.hotmail.com as the server name when setting up the account. You'll use this server name when setting up EAS on smartphones. The
new server uses eas.outlook.com as the server name, but it's recommended you use Auto Account Setup to set it up as an Exchange account.
