OneNote Left Side Layout - change

Thanks for your answer.

I didn't send the author rights. The Reader got the read-only Version.

But some of the groups like staks and grids are moving at the Readers Version. Like moving from the left side to the right. They are presented differently than they should, but normaly the readers couldn't change the sway.

das sind die aktuellen "Pain Points" von Anwender*innen:
<br />1) Autotext (Quickparts) no longer works in comments so I need to retype everything every time (this is a critical feature for my work)
<br />2) No formatting works in comment boxes including not able to use format painter
<br />3) Layout with comments outside the working pane and separate to formatting changes makes side by side viewing of document v difficult on a single monitor or you have to use small zoom
<br />4) and possibly worst of all, the comments are apparently not visible to those running earlier versions of Word, which is common in my clients who are on large corporate systems that do not automatically update.

To set Word so that all documents always open in editable mode, follow these steps:

1. Open Microsoft Word.

2. Click on the "File" tab in the upper left corner of the screen.

3. Click on "Options" at the bottom of the left-hand menu.

4. In the Word Options dialog box, click on "Advanced" in the left-hand menu.

5. Scroll down to the "Editing options" section.

6. Make sure the "Allow only this type of editing in the document" option is unchecked.

7. Check the box next to "Open e-mail attachments and other uneditable files in reading view".

8. Click "OK" to save the changes.

ADDITIONALLY, By default, Word opens documents in "Read Mode" which is designed to make reading and reviewing documents easier. If you prefer to always open documents in "Editable Mode", you can change this setting in Word's options. Here's how:

Open Word and click on "File" in the top left corner.

Click on "Options" in the left-hand menu.

Click on "General" in the left-hand menu.

In the "Startup options" section, uncheck the box next to "Open e-mail attachments and other uneditable files in reading view".

Click "OK" to save the changes.

Now, when you open a document in Word, it will always open in "Editable Mode". If you want to switch back to "Read Mode", you can do so by clicking on the "View" tab in the ribbon and selecting "Read Mode" from the "View" options.

die Silbentrennzone wird deaktiviert bleiben und kann nur noch im Kompatibilitätsmodus beeinflusst werden.

Laut MS verwendet Word in den neueren Versionen eine verbesserte Layout Engine bzw. einen besseren Algorithmus, sodass es seitens des Anwenders nicht mehr notwendig ist, in die Silbentrennzone einzugreifen. Siehe dazu auch folgenden Artikel:
