Outlook crashes on mails with broken picture links

Hello Everybody

Sometimes in a mail there is a broken link like this:

<img border="0" width="292" height="68" id="_x0000_i1030" src="https://web.mail.fedex.com/iwc/svc/wmap/attach/image002.jpg?token=92xzOgth0f&mbox=y_RPR_RPI&uid=5357&number=5&type=image&subtype=jpeg&process=html%2Cjs%2Clink%2Ctarget%2Cbinhex&filename=image002.jpg">(had to copy it out of source, even trying to copy it out of the email crashes outlook)

If this specific code is in the mail, outlook can't handle it and crashes.

It is from a communication with fedex, we don't no how and why the original image got relinked/changed to this url. So now we have to delete all Images with the X in the mail so that it works again.

Is there any workaround other than disable automatic image download or plain-text send?

Outlook should be able to handle such broken links.

Ich hab die folgende Anleitung für einen Crash gefunden bei dem outlmime.dll das fehlerhafte Modul ist:

Go to Control Panel > Mail > E-Mail Account.

In the popup window that will appear, take note of all the IMAP accounts (E-Mail panel) and the .ost file paths (Data Files panel).

Navigate through the folder containing the .ost files (you can easily do that from the Data Files panel using the Open file location button).

Create a new BACKUP_yyyyMMdd folder within the folder containing the .ost files.

Move all the .ost files related to the IMAP accounts that you identified earlier.

Launch MS Outlook again.

Hi,

in order to Close this Thread. I could solve the Problem with help of MS Support.

The invitations got corrupt/broken due to Migration.
