Outlook hangs when using a Prefix/Preface on replies and forwards

Outlook hangs (not responding) when replying or forwarding certain emails in Office 365 ProPlus, when the "Replies and forwards" mail settings are set to "Prefix each line of the original message" and the "Preface [...]" is set to "> ".

As soon as these options are turned off, Outlook works fine. This seems like a bug, it looks like Outlook is unable to reformat the message properly. The original message format is rich text and does include tables.

The problem is not specific to a user and can be reproduced on other installations as well.

Have others experienced this? Is there a workaround to be able to use Prefix/Preface?

Habe in einem anderen Forum eine Antwort gefunden, die es für mich gelöst hat:

Click on the search icon, search on cmd when you find the application (Command Prompt) run as administrator (i.e. right click it and click run as administrator). You will then see a rectangular black window appear with folder> then type in sfc/scannow and
sit back and wait (takes a while to run).

When finished type in exit. Then close outlook, restart and problem solve. Seems to have solved the problem for a number of people on the other thread too.
