Hello, I am currently looking for a way to set up multiple users 4-6 for my family so that Outlook can be used like at work. i.e. Each user has his own mailboxThe calendars are visible among each other.Tasks can be created and assigned.The users should have a mail with their own domain.The users should be able to use subdomain addressing e.g. *** Die E-Mail-Adresse wurde aus Datenschutzgründen entfernt. ***.The created subdomain addresses should be deactivatable/blockable in case the mail gets too much spam.If someone knows other good ways to use aliases i am open for suggestions.Plus addressing is possible, if the created addresses

Would it also be possible to combine MS365 Family with Exchange Online (Plan 1) and have the same functionality as with business basic?

Outlook.com - and join everyone to the family, although that only works for calendar share and a family calendar. You can use a custom domain but only one address in the custom domain per mailbox, limit of 6 mailboxes with a Family subscription

If you want to assign tasks, you need an exchange tenant. You'll need a domain name but will have full control and can have up to 300 aliases per mailbox (in any/all domains you own and add to the tenant). The cost is $6 a month per mailbox, more if you also want an office subscription. You will have all the business features - shared mailboxes, share calendar, contacts, assign tasks.

BTW - It's business basic on this page - it includes an exchange mailbox, Teams, onedrive.

Do you mean, can you buy Office 365 Family and use the software with Exchange online P1? Yes. Some business features - like retention policies won't work, but home users don't use those features anyway.

You can't set up the domain name in both Family sub and Exchange online or mix them like that.

You can mix and match business plans - but P1 is the cheapest plan now to the best of my knowledge - they used to have a $2 plan with only POP/imap access and a smaller mailbox (could be good for kids or people who dont use email much) but now its $4 - same as P1.
