Outlook Web App and Compliance Center Connection Problem for Retention Policies

Hi,

I want to set some Retention Policies for Outlook Web App for the members of my organization through the Microsoft 365 Compliance Center. All settings look good and theoretically everything should work properly, but there's no connection between the Compliance Center and the Outlook Web App, where I can't see the Retention Policies and there's no effect over the E-Mails for example after 1 Day Delete.

Could you help me with some ideas how to solve my problem?

In the link I posted above, it show you how you can know if the policy actually is working and applied to the affected mailbox:

Connect to Exchange Online PowerShell.

Run these commands.

PowerShell

$logProps = Export-MailboxDiagnosticLogs <user> -ExtendedProperties

PowerShell

$xmlprops = [xml]($logProps.MailboxLog)

PowerShell

$xmlprops.Properties.MailboxTable.Property | ? {$_.Name -like "ELC*"} ```

In the results, the ELCLastSuccessTimeStamp (UTC) property shows when the system last processed your mailbox. If it has not happened since the time you created the policy, the labels are not going to appear. To force processing, run Start-ManagedFolderAssistant
-Identity <user>.

thanks a lot for your responce!

The policy is published more than 7 days and that's the problem that I see only the "Use parent folder policy" option in Outlook Web App. As I understand that means that I still don't have any policies
within Outlook. In Compliance Center the policy is active (Success Status).

Do you have any other suggestions why is this connection problem?

How long have been past since you published this policy?

For Retention label policies it could take up to 7 days in become available in Exchange.

Um diese Einstellung zu überprüfen oder zu ändern, müssen Sie der IT-Administrator sein, gehen Sie zu diesem Link und melden Sie sich mit Ihrem Admin-Konto an: https://compliance.microsoft.com/

Klicken Sie dann auf Datensatzverwaltung > Einstellungen für die Datensatzverwaltung > Aufbewahrungsbezeichnungen > Löschen von Elementen. Für SharePoint und OneDrive gibt es separate Einstellungen.

vielen Dank für deine Anfrage.

Der Administrator kann einen Aufbewahrungstag
für den Standardordner "Kalender" erstellen, sodass keine enthaltenen
Elemente aktiviert werden und den erstellten Aufbewahrungstag in die aktive
Aufbewahrungsrichtlinie aufnehmen.

Freue mich auf deine Rückmeldung.
