1. Permanent scaling of the Outlook reading area

Hello,is it possible to permanently scale the Outlook reading area? Up to now, I have to rescale every time I preview a mail, which is very tedious in the long run - because I have to rescale down to 80% every time to be able to read the message properly.Thank you in advance, with best regards Heinrich

Currently, you can only choose fonts and colors available in the Design pane (click the Customize button at the top of it to see the available selections). We are considering more customizability in this area for the future, however.

    Outlook Text-Zoom

The text of my email messages is larger or smaller than usual
The zoom affects only the current item. When you select another item or folder, the Reading Pane returns to the default 100% size.
There are two ways to temporarily increase or decrease the zoom level in the Outlook Reading Pane.
• Use the Zoom control at the right, bottom of the Outlook window.
• If you are using a mouse with a wheel control, click the Reading Pane, press Ctrl, and roll the scroll wheel. Rolling the wheel away from you makes the contents larger, rolling the wheel toward you makes the contents smaller.
If you want to persist your zoom setting, this is now possible if you have Outlook, version 1901 or higher, as part of a Microsoft 365 subscription. To set a zoom percentage, click on % at the bottom right corner of the Zoom control.
After clicking %, pick a zoom percentage, and then check the box marked Remember my preference.
When you compose, reply, or forward an email there is also a new option for setting the zoom preference.
1. Compose a New Email.
2. Select Format Text > Zoom.
3. Set the Zoom to 100% (or your preferred percentage) and select OK.
Note: You can’t change the text size for the Reading Pane header.
I would be happy to know if I could help.

OneNote on iPad Pro inserts PDFs in very poor resolution. How can I fix that

    Hello David,

I’m an, Independent Advisor and Microsoft user like you. Thanks for posting the query here at this forum.
Sorry to that you're facing issue with OneNote resolution while loading a pdf.

Could you please let us know if this is something which broken recently after any update ?
    Kindly try following workarounds.

    1. Make sure your iPad has latest version of IOS. If its possible, please try remove OneNote and do a clean installation.

    2. Try to load different set of PDF files. Sometimes the resolution in the original file from the pdf software may have issues.

    3. Instead of dragging to adjust the size, try to scale. Scaling is different from resizing in that it purposely distorts the picture to force it to fit into a specific area.

3.1 Click to select the picture you want to scale.
Eight small boxes — called selection handles — will appear around the outer border of the picture.

3.2 Click any one of the four selection handles that appear in the center of the picture sides (not in the corners) and then drag the handle up, down, or sideways until the picture is the size you want.

Hope this information would be useful to you. Please feel free to get back if you need any additional info.

    Thank you!

How can I set ALL Word docs to open in an editable mode?

    HI Schmirby

To set Word so that all documents always open in editable mode, follow these steps:

    1. Open Microsoft Word.

    2. Click on the "File" tab in the upper left corner of the screen.

    3. Click on "Options" at the bottom of the left-hand menu.

    4. In the Word Options dialog box, click on "Advanced" in the left-hand menu.

    5. Scroll down to the "Editing options" section.

    6. Make sure the "Allow only this type of editing in the document" option is unchecked.

    7. Check the box next to "Open e-mail attachments and other uneditable files in reading view".

    8. Click "OK" to save the changes.

ADDITIONALLY, By default, Word opens documents in "Read Mode" which is designed to make reading and reviewing documents easier. If you prefer to always open documents in "Editable Mode", you can change this setting in Word's options. Here's how:

Open Word and click on "File" in the top left corner.

Click on "Options" in the left-hand menu.

Click on "General" in the left-hand menu.

In the "Startup options" section, uncheck the box next to "Open e-mail attachments and other uneditable files in reading view".

Click "OK" to save the changes.

Now, when you open a document in Word, it will always open in "Editable Mode". If you want to switch back to "Read Mode", you can do so by clicking on the "View" tab in the ribbon and selecting "Read Mode" from the "View" options.

    BEST REGARDS,
    SEGUNFUNMI
