Hi!I am trying to format a e-mail containing a table. Background info: I sent myself a sharepoint news digest, now want to edit it to send it to the whole company.The text in the cell should be displayed more left. The margin of the cell is 0, and I put those white triangles also to the left, as you can see. The reason that the text is not displayed to the left seems to be this grey area in the ruler. I think this is related to the document margins, however, the document margins are also set to 0.Does anyone know how I can move this grey area? Or make that the text is displayed more to the l

Hi Ian,

Thanks for your answer. Unfortunately this arrow never appears and I can't drag the grey area. I know that this works in word, but in this e-mail it doesn't seem to work that way.

I'm sorry to hear about this issue.

This "grey area" can be move by dragging it to the left or right.

Just point your mouse and wait for the "left right" arrow to show up then try to drag it to your desire position.

If you writing an e-mail using Outlook, and trying to create a table with the text written totally close to the left, you can simply create the table on the email directly, start typing, and the text should be formatted as left as possible. You can use the two buttons I've circled on the attached screenshot to move the text around.
