Hello,

you are talking about captions. As "Abb." isn't one of the built-in labels, it will not be adapted automatically. If you would like to use "Fig." you have to create a new label "Fig." first. Then you have to show field codes by pressing Alt+F9. Now you are
able to replace (Strg+H) "Abb." by "Fig." or "SEQ Abb." by "SEQ Fig.". Pressing Alt+F9 again will show the results. Maybe, you have to update fields (Strg+A | F9).

You may have a translation addin in your Outlook program. If you start Outlook in safe mode does the bracked appear too?

Run Outlook with holding the controlkey (CTRL) or start Outlook per command. Start - Run - "Outlook.exe /safe" <- type this into the command window.
