using:
windows 7 64-bit sp1 oem dvd
gigabyte z170x-ud3 motherboard, rev 1.0
wd black 500gb disk, gpt

installation message box
windows can not be installed to disk0, part 5 (show details)

windows can not be installed to this disk
the selected disk is of the gpt partition style.

in bios, section bios features
boot option #1 - uefi plextor dvdr px-850sa

windows 8/10 features - windows 8/10
csm support - enabled
storage boot option control - uefi only
other pci device rom priority - uefi only

disk layout:
1st partition is 100m efi system partition - marked 0xef00
2nd partition is 128m microsoft system recovery partition - marked 0x2700
other partitions are windows data partitions - marked 0x0700
